TV celebrities share their summer secrets to stay cool and hydrated

Weather in Mumbai has matched the current mood on Indian Television Scorching! With sun beating down and heating the city like a furnace.

It is time to ditch denims and embrace cotton, which promises to keep your body breathing.

It is safe and rather comforting to say that we would not want to trade places with the leading ladies of Television Industry as they adorn themselves with heavy embroidered sarees, traditional jewellery and makeup.

We caught up with a few television stars to take a sneak peek into their 'Beat the summer' resolution.

Kritika Kamra of 'Kuch Toh Log Kahenge' on Sony Television feels that taking a spa is therapeutic 'I think a good spa, especially a foot spa relaxes your mind, body and soul. It never fails to rejuvenate me'

Our television stars lead a hectic life with their arduous work hours running anywhere from 12 to 15 hours. The key for them is to stay hydrated.

Giaa Manek of 'Saath Nibhana Saathiya' feels that drinking coconut can keep the sun away 'Key is to stay hydrated. Just having water all day long, can be boring. So, I try to sip a lot of Nimbu Paani, coconut water and home made Guava punch.'

Mohit Sehgal of 'Miley Jab Hum Tum' echoes the same sentiments 'It is important to keep your water intake high. I love drinking Chaas and Nariyal Paani'

Long and strenuous work hours mean spending longer time in the character's costumes, which to say the least are not very summer friendly.

Daljeet Bhanot , who plays Anjali in 'Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?' says-" Our characters are very stiff and during our shooting we have dress as per the character. But, as soon as I hear pack up; I change into anything that is cotton. I wear shorts, skirts and cotton dresses because you have to let your skin breathe. I also make it a point to carry a water bottle where ever I go and considering how humid the weather is in Mumbai, I have to wash my hair everyday"

Drashti Dhami of 'Geet Hui Sabse Parayi' too swears by a good hair and body spa 'I can not stress on how important it is to devote some time for yourself. Spare some time for a hair spa and a good chocolate body spa. It removes your tan and also helps in blood circulation'
