Uttaran has recently undergone a leap and if history is to repeat itself, the new leading ladies Meethi (Tina Dutta) and Mukta (Sreejita De) need their leading man. Ensuring that this requirement is met, Gaurav S Bajaj has been roped in to play the role of Aman. Joining the leading ladies in college, Aman will befriend them slowly as he unveils his independent personality to them. Aman believes in paying for his own education despite coming from a rich family and owing to this, he works as a part-time pizza delivery boy.
Says Gaurav, “I feel blessed to have been given the opportunity to be a part of one of the most-watched shows on Indian television, Uttaran. To get into the skin of the character, I have been insisting that everyone on the sets address me as Aman instead of Gaurav. The best live example of this character is that I follow my dad – he is a pure older version of Aman. This has really helped me a lot in preparing for the role. Aman brings a certain level of joy and thrill to Meethi and Mukta’s lives and I am sure that the audiences will appreciate Aman’s personality and character.”
Originally from Indore, Gaurav moved to Pune to pursue further education because he believes that it is extremely important for every actor to have a backup plan. He has been previously seen in shows like Palkon Ki Chhaav Mein and Sapnon Se Bhare Naina. He was also awarded the Best Newcomer Award at the New Talent Awards in 2011.
