The sixth season of MTV Roadies from 29 November Full Details

The sixth season of MTV Roadies is all set to launch on 29 November. The new season is launching with tougher terrains, gruesome tasks and a brand new destination. The show ties up with the most awaited movie of the year, Chandni Chowk to China. The double trouble duo Raghu and Rajiv, along with the stunning Deepika Padukone announced the tie–up and flagged off this exciting journey to the most dangerous country in the world – Australia.

General Manager–MTV India & Sr. Vice President – Creative & Content, Ashish Patil said, “Set your timers to 7pm and take cover as MTV Hero Honda Roadies is about to detonate in your living room with what promises to be the most explosive and thrilling season till date with two bad ass brothers – Raghu and Rajiv – joining the ride to handpick the bait for sharks and crocodiles in Australia. It’s surely going to be hell down under!”

Not only have the stakes been raised to a whopping amount of rupees ten lakhs, but the competition gets tougher and more intense as not thirteen but twenty Roadies are chosen to take on most difficult terrain and face the most dangerous and venomous creatures on earth. With the show taking another level, there is some bad news in store, as well. Raghu’s identical twin Rajiv Laxman will join him to create even more hell for the contestants.

On the association, Deepika Padukone said, “It’s great to be associated with Roadies-Hell Down Under, I watch the show myself and think it’s a complete blast. Chandni Chowk to China also boasts of a similar thrilling journey that you will have to wait and watch out for. I wish all Roadies the very best of luck, I think they’re going to need it! ”

Roadies 5.0 winner and newly crowned Bigg Boss 2 champion Ashutosh Kaushik adds, “Roadies ek aisa safar hai jo desh ke har naujawan ko karna chahiye. Roadies ne mujhe aur meri life ko badal kar rakh diya aur mujhe Bigg Boss jaise show mein pahunchaya. Agar Bigg Boss 2 mere liye Bhagwaan hai, toh Roadies woh guru hai, jisne mujhe bhagwan tak pahuchaya.” He further added, “Iss saal ke Roadies contestants ko main kehna chaahunga ki jo ho wahi dikhao aur sab se ram ram karte chalo.”

Roadie Rannvijay Singh - Season 1

One of the winners of Roadies season 1, this Delhi ka bandha is the host of MTV Hero Honda Roadies, Vodafone MTV Splitsvilla, among other shows. He just shot for his Bollywood debut film – TOSS and signed up for Vipul Shah’s next – London Dreams, starring Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan.

Roadie Shambhvi - Season 5

This petite Roadie is now on her way to stardom. She is already shooting for Suneil Shetty’s next film under Popcorn Entertainment – The Little Godfather. This white beauty has been recently roped in a South Indian flick, now that’s a contrast we’re waiting to see.

Roadie Bani - Season 4

Roadies 4 finalist and now an MTV VJ, Bani is the host of Pepsi & MTV Wassup and MTV On the Job. She made her Bollywood debut with Himmesh in Aap ka Surroor. Bani’s appalling tattoos and bold attitude got her campaigning for Reebok.

Roadie Ayushman - Season 2

Now an MTV VJ, he is hearing what the youngistans have to say on Pepsi and MTV Wassup. He could not get fame as soon as he won the roadies. But much later an year back, MTV considered him for another happening program “Wassup Youngistan”.

Roadie Shubhi - Season 3

This Roadie scored a goal in Chak de India with her Bollywood debut as Gunjan with King Khan as her coach.

Old habits don’t die easily. Barely 48 hours after he got out of the Bigg Boss house, Raja Chaudhary hit straight to the bar. The occasion was the party thrown by Congress spokesperson and contestant Sanjay Nirupam for his fellow housemates at Wild Dining restaurant in Oshiwara, Mumbai. Among those present were contestants Sambhavna Seth, Debojit, Alina and her twin sister Sana.

After gulping down few pegs too many, an inebriated Raja made a fool of himself. When reporters gathered around him for bytes, Raja lost his cool and yelled at the reporters telling them to take two steps behind if they wanted his interview. Later, he apologised to Sambhavna for verbally abusing her in Bigg Boss.

Sambhavna though wouldn’t accept this apology. “His behaviour once again shows that he hasn’t changed a wee bit. He made my life miserable in Bigg Boss. He gained some popularity and goodwill of a few people through his stay in Bigg Boss. Unfortunately, he’s lost all of it in a moment. I don’t say that he’s a bad man but after he did to me there’s no way that I’ll forgive him,” thundered Sambhavna.

Raja Chaudhary was unavailable for comment.

Sahara One’s new show, Pankhh Hote To Ud Jaati, has Ankita playing the lead role. Ankita an Electronics Engineering student had aspirations of becoming an actor.

“I told my parents that after finishing my engineering, I will want to live life to please myself. From my 2nd year, I started doing theater, and by the time I got my degree, I finished my theater training”, quips the young girl. Ankita has been part of Zee’s Parrivaar where she played the protagonist, Radha’s sister. She has been an anchor on Home Shop too.

“It has been a real struggle for me, to get the role of a lead in television. I had many clauses wherein I wanted to play only the lead, but did not want to get into saas-bahu sagas. Now I think Kiran, the character I play in the show is tailor-made for me”, verbalizes Ankita.

She feels, with shows like Balika Vadhu getting successful, she is happy that she is also part of the positive change seen conceptually on television. At the same time, Ankita is as much excited about her role in the show. “The character I am playing in this show is of Kiran Saxena. She is very bubbly, careless and an out and out girl next-door type. She does not have any ambition in life. She is content to just get married and spend the rest of her life as a housewife.”

Speaking about the concept of the show, Ankita says, “The story revolves around a father-daughter relationship. Initially I am shown as a carefree girl, but due to some circumstance, my personality changes. At some point the father is unable to take up the responsibility of the family. This is where Kiran steps in to help him shoulder the responsibilities of the house.”

The youngster feels elated as she gets to learn a lot from veterans Kiran Kumar and Neena Kulkarni. “I feel like a kid who is getting to know the first letters of acting here. To say that I learn a lot from Kiran Kumarji will be an understatement. He motivates me to a great deal and I love every bit of my exposure here”, concludes Ankita.

Bobby’s ‘Darling N Devils’

Bobby Darling has found a new way to showcase his dancing skills. The actor has joined forces with renowned rapper Bobby Cat and DJ Sherwood to form a DJ band called Darling N Devils.

Talking about Darling N Devils, Bobby says, “I’m the Darling while DJ Sherwood and Bobby Cat are the devils. We do power pack rocking shows for 2-3 hours. Sherwood has done over 50 albums. Bob Cat has sung for films like Race, Kismat Konnection, Pyar Ke Side Effects and Ugly Aur Pagli.”

This band was launched on 8 November in Delhi’s famous disco Elevates. The first night itself turned out to be very eventful for Bobby. “Our first show was held in Delhi’s biggest disco – Elevates. We performed till 4.30 am. Seeing me perform, some of the guys started to take my video. A few of them wanted to dance with me. They followed me to my room and it took the bouncers to control them. But it was great fun.”

Bobby’s set to come out with his music video soon. Speaking on it, he says, “My music video is likely to be called ‘Rock with hotty naughty Bobby Darling’. It will showcase me in a complete new avatar – like a diva. My performance will make many an actress feel insecure. “

Juhi Sachin's wedding preparations

Kumkum actress Juhi Parmar and Sachin Shroff surprised their fans by proclaiming their love for each other. And the couple is now all set to tie the knot. And after much deliberation have fixed February next year for the wedding day.

An excited Sachin informs, "We are getting married on the 15th of February, 2009. There can be some changes as far as the date of our engagement is concerned but most probably it would take place a day before that is 14th of February. The wedding will take place in Jaipur and it will be a mix of both Rajasthani and Sindhi cultures. It would be a cocktail of both the cultures and trust me cocktails do wonders."

Is Juhi going to help him choose his clothes? "Juhi will be busy shopping her clothes and jewellery so I don't think she would be able to help me with my shopping. We were to start with the shopping for our wedding yesterday but the shooting of our respective shows has just resumed and our plans are postponed for sometime," replies the actor.

Reminiscing the days when love blossomed between the two, Sachin says, "We shot for a pilot of a show titled Koi Jaane Na for Star Plus but later both of us quit the show. We were in touch but not frequently. We actually started dating a few months ago. I would like to credit our common friends for our beautiful relationship. They played a very important role by bringing us closer due to which we got a chance to know each other and the rest is history."

With the wedding bells soon to toll for the couple we wish them bliss and happiness.

Fortune tellers tell what lies in store for the contestants post Bigg Boss 2

Bigg Boss 2 is over and in the coming days, especially our winner Ashutosh Kaushik will bask into its glory. Will an appearance in Bigg Boss bring about change in fortunes for these forlorn or unheralded entities? What does life has in store for these men and women? Tarot card reader Munisha Khatwani and Rune reader Dr.Kaajal had earlier predicted on Ashutosh emerging as a real strong contender for Bigg Boss 2 and how right did they prove.
