More time for rehearsals for VOI contestants

With producers and channels on strike, Voice of India finalists are happy for the fact that now they have got more time for rehearsals. The day for VOI Grand Finale is approaching and any extra time to rehearse is music to the contestants’ ears.

One of the finalists, Ravi, is hard at work. “It is true that now we have more time for practice and that is what is needed at this point of time as we are heading for the finals,” he says, “Now we need to be much more focused than what we were earlier.”

Vipul, another contestant on the show, is too putting some extra hours of practice. “Earlier it was two hours a day. Now I have increased it to three hours.”

Vipul’s mom is very serious with his rehearsals. “While I am practicing mom doesn’t let me talk to any of my friends or rather she keeps special care that I should completely concentrate.”

So what are the extra precautions that they are taking?

One common thing which all of them abstain from is avoiding cold and sour stuff. Apart from that, individually too they take some special precautions. Vipul says avoiding fried food is perhaps the only thing he’s sticking to. “Even if I have something fried, I make sure that I don’t drink water after that.”

Apart from their regular riyaaz, the talented kids have some other plans too. During this time they all plan to have a good tour of the city.

“Rihaaz toh hoga hi saath hi Mumbai ghoomne ke liye ab thoda waqt de payenge,” says Ravi.

They have already visited many places together including Churchgate, Marine Drive, Juhu Beach, Bandra Bandstand a well as religious places like Siddhivinayak Mandir and Mumba Devi.
