M TV & Zee TV slapped Star One

Long after STAR One's reality dance show "Zara Nachke Dikha" came to an end, popular TV actor Ali Asgar still carries a grudge against the judges, especially actor Chunky Pandey.

"Chunky used to say things like 'you should hang yourself' and completely write us off before a performance. We had very bad vibes with the judges," Ali, who captained the boys team, told IANS over phone from Mumbai.

Ali was on the dance show with prominent TV actors Bhaktyaar Irani, Gaurav Chopra, Manish Goel, Chaitanya Choudhary, Amit Tandon, Vikas Sethi and child artiste Arnev Pandya to compete against an equal number of girls.

But in the last round of the grand finale telecast on September 28, the boys came together, moved around the stage and just clapped, expressing their disappointment at the decisions of the judges.

The judges Malaika Arora Khan and Chunky Pandey reacted. Dance maestro Saroj Khan, who was the guest judge for the day, also voiced her displeasure.

Chunky even said that he wanted to get a sex change operation done after seeing the attitude of the boys.

Rekha to make Television debut

"We were forced to walk off the stage. We didn't want to lose. We had given the show our full dedication for three and a half months. As the captain of my team, I didn't want us to react this way, but we had no option," Ali said.

Ali is best remembered for his role as Kamal in the serial "Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii", that came to an end last week.

Talking about the disastrous end of the dance show, he said: "It was all about respect for me. The judges were highly rude and if we performed badly, we had every right to do so.

"The judges were big celebrities and they should have judged other celebrities like us in the right way too," Ali said.
