Balaji's reality show Kaun Jeetega Bollywood Ka Ticket has reached its end and the winner is Naman Shaw and his partner Bindu. Eastern Zone's Naman emerged victorious amongst the three finalists. The other two finalist jodis, Vikas Manecktala – Deepika and Chetan Hansraj – Sanyogita stood second and third respectively. The last leg of the show was graced by Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty.
According to a source from the show, "Chetan was a little upset with the result of the show. Now, Naman and his partner Bindu will get the golden chance of acting in Balaji and Popkorn's dream project Generation Next with many other popular B –town faces."
"The high point was when everyone took Punit's (Twinkle's partner) case. Post each performance, audio-visuals of the respective participants were shown which showcased what others had to say about them. Everybody mentioned that Punit was rude, undignified and abused a lot. It also showed a clipping where one of the judges Shabana Azmi had compared Punit with a rotten apple that spoils the rest. Suniel too seconded Shabana and said that he too would think twice before making a movie with Punit if he emerged the winner. He also went on to say that Punit would not get any work in the industry with the kind of attitude he has," adds the source.
Another source informs, "Twinkle too was at the receiving end of the judges. Her statement that she did all the drama to generate votes ruffled the judges. To this Suniel said that one shouldn't lose his/her dignity for votes."
"Before the announcement of the winner, Bindu (Naman Shaw's partner) was given a special surprise. It is believed that she has left her home as her parents were not supportive of her aspirations. Bindu was taken aback when she saw her mother and brother on the show and tears rolled down".
"To lighten the atmosphere Karan Patel and Mihika Verma's partner Sahil performed a gag where in they gave away some awards. Twinkle and Punit got the No.1 award. Chetan Hansraj bagged the Bhookamp award as whatever he did was nothing less than an earthquake be his screaming at top of his lungs or hitting Punit. Jay Bahnushali got the Kuaan (Well) award as all his sentences start with well," concludes the source.
When contacted, Naman refused to comment and said, "I can't comment on anything. Please contact me post the telecast of the episode"
Ironically to get a Bollywood ka ticket one had to use the small screen for a leg up!
