Pratigya, Saanchi and Sandhya appeal to their viewers to vote

Throughout this election period, three of Star Plus’ most popular household names – Pratigya, Saanchi and Sandhya – will be seen motivating the viewers to cast their votes through a series of promos that will run on the channel.

These three characters are the most influential women on television currently, as their progressive outlook to life has helped them fight battles and are inspiring female viewers to be stronger everywhere. Pratigya has always stood up for her rights and for some of the basic injustices inflicted on women. Saanchi of the show Ruk Jaana Nahin, is a young, 19-year-old college-going girl, who has always used her intelligence, wit and sense of humour to accomplish her goals. Sandhya of the show Diya Aur Baati Hum is an ambitious girl from Pushkar who is always subtly fighting for respect and power in the traditional family she is married into.

At juvenile home Gautam catches hold of the kid who had given tea to Abhigyan. Shikha is upset as she has lost all evidences against Neela, she reminds the name of Pegasus company. In her public debate show, Tara fires questions on Jairaj. Shikha goes to Pegasus company and meets Sanjay. Gautam and other cops go to farmhouse and catch Prakash in a chase; Praksh calls up some sirjee. Gautam breaks down totally having known the fact sirjee is his own father DCP Jairaj.

Gautam is shattered having heard Jairaj’s voice as sirjee. Shikha tells Yashvardhan that the cheque given for charity was on the name of Shubra and written by the company Pegasus. While cross checking, Jairaj blurts out Prakash's name. Shikha is very happy having confirmed the fact that her father is innocent. In police headquarters Gautam plays the tape recoded by him against Jairaj. Everyone is shocked. Gautam, Abhigyan and Shikha talk about DCP Jairaj. Gautam holds the handcuffs towards Jairaj.

Tonight, Gautam arrests Jairaj. Tara comes there for coverage. Both Shikha and Yashwardhan confront Neela. Gautam and Abhigyan enquire about Bhavik’s report and the report says that milk had poison in it. Gautam goes to meet Jairaj in jail. Abhigyan goes to Bhavik’s colony and gets to know that one night before, someone had come to stay there. They also get information about Matron. Meenakshi sees Abhigyan disguised as vegetable vendor.

Manasi will essay the role of Mandira, Dr Nidhi's NRI cousin who wants Nidhi to realise that her love for Dr Ashutosh will never be acknowledged by the elders of the family.

A source informs, "Manasi is essaying Nidhi's cousin, who has returned from abroad after marrying an older guy. She has been rejected by the family for the same reason and doesn't want Nidhi to go through the same. So she tries to make Nidhi realise that her love for Dr Ashutosh will never be accepted."

Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai: What ailment is Maanvi suffering from?

Ronit Roy-Aanand Goradiya's picture perfect moment

There are times when two celebrities wear similar clothes on the same day, but at different events. However, it is very rare that this happens on the same event and the two people in question come face to face with each other. And just the same thing happened on the sets of Sony Entertainment’s Adaalat.

It so happened that on 8 January 2012, Ronit Roy and Aanand Goradiya were asked to report on sets at the same time. While Ronit Roy plays K D Pathak, Aanand Goradiya plays I M Jaiswal in this courtroom drama. So Aanand got out of his car wearing a V shaped black t shirt over faded blue jeans and maroon shoes. And approximately five minutes after this, Ronit moved out his car in similar attire. The actors bumped into each other on the staircase of the studio where they were shocked to see each other dressed alike.

At first they looked at each other in astonishment, but soon burst into laughter. In fact, Ronit who is a big TV star didn’t throw any tantrums like asking Aanand to change his attire, but instead got himself clicked with Aanand, calling it a picture perfect moment. "So sorry, I was busy shooting. Hope I didn’t make you guys wait," said the lovely lady.

Then she said she would love to have ice tea and was all kicked to don the mantle of guest editor.

Beyond Dreams next on Star Plus gets approved;on the floors by next month...

The makers of Rang Badalti Odhani, Yash Patnaik's Beyond Dreams, is making two shows for GEC's, one for Life OK and the other for Star Plus. Tellybuzz had earlier reported about the Star Plus show starring Sneha Wagh, Sudhanshu Pandey, Shagufta Ali and Aastha Chaudhary. Now we bring you more updates on the same.

The show which has a Punjabi backdrop will be the story of an orphanage. Sneha Wagh and Sudhanshu Pandey would essay parents and would leave the frame as the show takes a leap. The small kids would further be the leads of the show.

A source informs on the development reveals, "The show has been titled as, 'Suli' as it's a very serious genre show. It has been approved by the channel and the show would go on floors from March. Their first outdoor shoot would take place in Punjab."

We contacted Yash Patnaik but he remained unavailable for the comment.

The last battle ends...

Tellybuzz had earlier reported that Zee TV's Shobha Somnath Ki would end on the 19th of February. But since there was no telecast last week , the show's end has been postponed by a weel.

A source informs, "Last week due to Zee Cine awards, two episodes were missed out. Therefore instead of ending the show on the 19th, the channel has given an extension of a couple of weeks. Today is the last day of shoot."

A source informing on the end track reveals, "As Ghaznavi (Vikramjeet Virk) is in love with Shobha (Srishty Rode), taking advantage she misleads him and his whole army, out of the forest. Accordingly the whole army, along with Shobha and Ghaznavi, get trapped. A windstorm attacks the whole army leading to the death of many. Ghaznavi too gets dumped into the sand and that is where Shobha kills Ghaznavi with a trishul. Fighting back, Ghaznavi stabs Shobha with a knife."

"In the injured condition, Shobha rides away on her horse but on the way she breathes her last, "signs off the source.

We contacted Vikramjeet Virk and he says, "Yes, today is the last shoot of the show and it was great to be a part of such a huge costume drama."

With this, it's end of the battle between Shobha and Ghaznavi!

Tellybuzz had earlier reported about BBC launching a new show titled, Sang Mere Dol Tu for Star Plus. Nikhil Advani would be directing the show for which the pilot has already been shot with well known actor Varun Kapoor and two fresh faces, Chhavi Pandey and Mundit Nair.

The latest we hear is that Jaskaran Singh a.k.a Uday of Star One's popular show Miley Jab Hum Tum will play one of the important characters in the show. We also hear that veteran actors Geeta Khanna and Sagar Saini will be a part of the show. Sagar Saini will play Gungun's hubby .

Diya Aur Baati Hum has bagged # 1 position this week with 5.1 TRPs whereas Saath Nibhana Saathiya and Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has seen a huge fall of ratings.

This week no new shows were launched.

Though a huge fall in GRPs have been noticed by most of the GECs, Star Plus still maintains its # 1 position with 273 GRPs, followed by Colors which actually raised its GRPs this week by 208 as compared to last week. Sony TV gains 209 GRPs this week.

As a child, I loved watching historical and mythological shows because of their grand sets, jewellery, clothes and dialogues. Being part of it now is amazing.

After watching Ramayana and Mahabharata, I would think how lucky these people are to get to wear such lovely costumes. I used to dress up as a kid and enact various characters with my mom's jewellery and sarees.

I have done a couple of Bengali fictions earlier, but when I was offered this role, there was no way I could turn it down. Besides, it's not a negative character like most other nagins.

Love is in the air for Indu Singh (Aniruddh Dave) as he plans to change his image to impress Sanchi (Pooja Sharma) in Play Time Creationns' Ruk Jaana Nahin on Star Plus. Indu Singh, who has been a spoilt brat and lives life on his own terms, will now dress up as an intellectual.

Viewers have already seen that Indu was suspended from the University; but in the future episodes he will come back to the University, which will surprise Sanchi and the entire University. In fact, Indu who unknowingly started loving Sanchi will try to woo his lady love.

A source close to the show informs Tellychakkar.com that in the coming episodes, Indu will decide to change his frivolous image so that he can win Sanchi’s heart. “He will dress up as an intellectual in a kurta-pajama and will also carry a bag. He will speak a sophisticated language unlike his true self only because Sanchi likes sophisticated men.”

When Tellychakkar.com contacted Aniruddh Dave, he said, “I have always heard that change is very important and especially when it happens for good. So yes, Indu will change his attire, but will his new look impress Sanchi or not is something I cannot reveal at this moment.”

The TC team saw another TV celeb turning a guest editor for us. Gaurav S Bajaj, who played Daksh in Star Plus' Sapnon Se Bhari Naina, was extremely happy to lead the group. While he was doing an extremely wonderful job as a journalist, we can’t write this piece without letting you know that he came down to our office straight from the airport. (He is such a professional)

As soon as he landed into our office, he got to work. “What sort of story should I file,” is what he asked us. And he immediately started searching for stories for us. “I visit the site regularly,” he said of your favorite site. Like a good journalist, he called up many of his reliable sources, but nothing materialized. However after continuous efforts, he did manage to achieve what he was up to and he was all smiles after that.

In fact, his hard work paid off really well, because he got us two stories. “Now you guys must be extremely happy,” he told the TC team. More than the number of stories, we were elated to have him around. (Do make sure you read the stories given by him and like and comment as well)

The actress will be seen in the hit Rajan Shahi show as an NRI...

Manasi Parekh, who rocked the nation through her singing talent in Zee TV's Star Ya Rockstar and bagged first place in the competition, is all set to enter the celebrated show,Kuch Toh Log Kahenge.

A little birdie from the sets informs, "Manasi Parekh will start shooting today for Kuch Toh Log Kahenge as Mandira, an NRI cousin of Nidhi (Kritika Kamra). She would enter the frame in order to make Nidhi realize that her relationship with Dr. Ashutosh (Mohnish Behl) may not be acknowledged by the family."

Mansi was earlier finalized to host Colors' Chhote Miyan Bade Miyan but due to some circumstances the actress backed out.

When contacted, Mansi confirms, "Yes, I am doing Kuch Toh Log Kahenge and I am essaying Nidhi's cousin, who has returned from abroad after her marriage to a older guy. She has been rejected by the family but she still comes to meet them.It's very beautiful cameo and a very contrast role from that of which I essayed in Gulaal."

Hope this cameo brings in good numbers for the show.

Hats Off's one show shuts; work gears for another...

Tellybuzz had earlier reported about Hats Off coming up with a new show on Life OK. The untitled show will no doubt have Gujarati backdrop.

The production house has approached some big names for the show. A source suggests, "Veterans like Ketki Dave last seen in Behenein, Manoj Joshi (of fame Gulaal), Darshan Jariwala currently seen in Sony TV's Saas Bina Sasuraal have been approached to essay pivotal roles in the show. The show depicts a father- son relationship in a comic way."

The show was on halt for long time but has finally caught pace. When contacted Ketki, she confirms, "J.D is a friend so he keeps approaching me for shows, but nothing is confirmed yet."

Manoj Joshi too confirmed the buzz while Darshan Jariwala who is suffering from flu said, "Yes, they have approached me to be a part of the show."

Well with this an interesting pool of talent will hopefully come together!

Mohit Malik to don a neuro surgeon in Phulwa...

Mohit Malik who was last seen playing a cop in Fireworks Productions' Surya the Super Cop will now play a doctor for the first time in Colors' Phulwa.

Mohit enters the Swastik Pictures show as the parallel lead, who will help Phulwa (Sargun Mehta) in curing her husband Abhay's (Ajay Chaudhary) illness.

Informs our source, "Abhay has suffered a paralytic stroke and cannot move parts of his body. This is when Phulwa is introduced to Arjun Singh, a famous neuro surgeon who is the only doctor who is efficient enough to cure such a case".

On the character, our source tells us, "Arjun Singh is a very real character with shades of grey. He is very rich, egoistic and basically a person with attitude. He is a very capable doctor and is proud of his achievements. Phulwa will get good support from him as he takes up Abhay's case. A love triangle with Abhay, Phulwa and Arjun Singh can be expected as this track move on".

We hear that Mohit has already begun shoot, and his entry will be aired in tomorrow's episode. A huge build up will be created before his face gets revealed to the audience.
When contacted, Mohit confirmed his entry in Colors' Phulwa.

The handsome actor Akshay Dogra, who plays Aakash in Star Plus' Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, has many reasons to be happy this Valentine's Day. Firstly, his onscreen character has got married recently. But apart from that, he is very elated personally too. Tomorrow, 14 February, apart from being Valentine’s Day, is also his second wedding anniversary.

Akshay's wife, Sakshi, is a working professional. He first met his wife in 1998 in their Economics tuition classes. “So tomorrow (14 February) we would be celebrating fourteen years of togetherness,” smiles the actor. Akshay always wanted to become an engineer, but he couldn’t get admission into it and hence opted for commerce. And thanks to this decision, he met his life partner.

While Akshay was serious about their relationship from day one, Sakshi realized this in 2002 and decided it was time to go ahead. And after nearly five years after that, the couple decided to take the plunge and got married in 2009.

While the month of marriage was decided (February), the date was not finalized. “My mother immediately came up with the date of 14 February,” reveals the handsome hunk. Incidentally, even the priest came up with the same date later on. The list of co-incidences doesn’t end here; even his onscreen wedding date is the same. For information, Akshay is the elder brother of Riddhi Dogra who is married to her Maryada co-star Raqesh Vashisth.

Though tomorrow it’s double celebration for him, Akshay doesn’t have any plans of celebrating the occasion along with his wife. The reason being that both have professional commitments to fulfill. “But I want to surprise her with a car,” he adds.

Nikhil Advani would be directing the show for which pilot has already been shot with well known actor Varun Kapoor along with two fresh faces Chhavi Pandey and Mundit Nair who are finalized to essay the main leads.

A source informs, "Gungun Uprari last seen in Imagine TV's Haar Jeet would essay the mother of a girl child who has a fetish for dance but because of her husband's restrictions, she takes a back seat but wants her child to be a good dancer too."
