Shah Rukh Khan reminisces about his TV serial Circus
Shah Rukh Khan and Renuka Shahane, his co-star in TV series Circus speak about memories while shooting...
At an intimate gathering for an auction organized by Siddharth Kak, noted
filmmaker and producer of Surabhi - the popular cultural series on Indian
Television, Shah Rukh Khan
who opened the auction was in a wonderful mood singing, dancing and
amusing the crowd who got to see SRK unplugged even as he turned
auctioneer and urged them to bid for the Indian artefacts on sale. SRK
who made his on-screen debut with the TV serial Circus shared an
amusing anecdote regarding his co-star Renuka Shahane.
SRK spoke fondly of Renuka who went on to become the face of
Surabhi and is now not only a renowned actor and well known film personality but
is now also one of the trustees of the Surabhi Foundation. "I remember very
well the days of shooting with Renuka for my Television series Circus. There was
a scene where she was to climb on top and her character was supposed to be
affected with vertigo. We didn't know that in real life too Renuka suffered
from vertigo and when she was called to shoot the scene she panicked and we got
a real shot" SRK told the amused audience.
While SRK was not sure whether the shoot happened in Satara
or Goa, Renuka who too was present at the auction remembered the incident quite
clearly. "Shah Rukh forgot but we were shooting in Goa. About the scene that he
is talking about, yes… I did have problem shooting the vertigo scene and
everyone was surprised when they came to know that I had vertigo in real life
too. Eventually we managed to shoot it when they reduced the height" said
Renuka who looked resplendent in a lovely green saree and ethnic jewellery
which matched her ever dazzling smile.
