First time director Rajesh Bachchani enjoyed working with TV actor Hussain Kuwajerwala in "Shree" because he feels both of them exude same passion and determination.
Before turning director, Bachchani wrote TV shows like "Ssshhh... Koi
Hai", "Kahani Saat Pheron Ki", and "Comedy Circus". The film also marks
Hussain's big screen debut.
The director said it is good "when two passionate people join together"
and another "good thing" for him was that "Shree" was both, his and
Hussain's, first film.
"Hussain has the same amount of determination that I have, in fact, more
than that. Even while preparing for the film, we both used to give 200
to 500 percent," Bachchani said here Wednesday in an interview.
Praising Hussain's dedication and commitment, he said, "While
rehearsals,...we used to rehearse day and night as the whole shooting
was on the real locations. So, we couldn't afford to take the risk of
re-takes. Besides, we had to make the film within limited budget and
limited resources."
"Since, it was our first film, so we got a lot of benefit... we both
knew that any mistake could backfire. So we both worked hard, developed a
good chemistry and that passion reflects in the film," Bachchani said.
Coming out on April 26, "Shree" also features Anjali Patil, who was last seen in Prakash Jha's "Chakravyuh".
