Bollywood singer-composer-music director Bappi Lahiri's son, Bappa Lahiri ia all set to take the plunge with Taneesha Verma, daughter of renowned Bollywood stunt co-ordinator, Mahendra and Shefali Verma. The sangeet ceremony was a glittering affair at the Juhu Millenium Club last night.
Sudhanshu Pandey and Rupali Ganguly took to the stage as the emcees for the evening who conducted the entire five hour show smoothly. The two are close friends of the couple. As the who's who of the industry made their way to the venue; the vibrant proceedings got underway with all celebrity guests taking to the stage in turns and adding to the spectacular extravaganza. Shibani Kashyap, Shreya Ghoshal, Sophie Choudhary, Usha Uthup, Alka Yagnik, Ila Arun, Ishita Arun, Raju Shrivastava among others graced the occasion.
Once the star performers were done wowing the guests, the evening came to a lively end when the relatives of the bride took to the stage and danced away to some of the hottest item numbers of the season with gusto. It was a fitting finale to a beautiful evening, highlighting the significance of family in one's lives. By the end of the evening, the smiles on the faces of the Lahiri family were much wider as the Lahiris welcomed a new daughter into the family!
