Now, now, now…the race of TRPs between GECs is getting spicier with each passing week. In week 12 of TAM 2012, Zee has jumped ahead of Colors and Sony Entertainment Television with 214 GRPs and sealed its position at no. 2 after Star Plus. As a result, Sony Entertainment Television and Colors have slipped down on the TRP ladder and are perched on no 3 and 4 positions, with 209 and 200 GRPs, respectively.
If you observe, the margin between the no3 and 4 positions is also not a mammoth one. The fight has been really tight between the two GECs.
Now, India’s leading channel Star Plus has gained more than 300 GRPs (319 to be precise) and is ahead with an impressive 100 GRPs from the second ranked channel.
So here’s a lowdown of channels and their GRPs and where they stand in the TRP ladder;
Star Plus is once again the number one channel with 319 GRPs. Placed second is ZEE TV with 214. Sony Entertainment Television is third with 209 and Colors has earned 200 GRPs to bag no 4 position.
SAB TV, Life OK and Imagine are placed fifth, sixth and seventh with 132, 74 and 62 GRPs respectively.
