Shritama worried about Dekha Ek Khwaab's dipping TRPs

Shritama Mukherjee

Shritama Mukherjee is quite stressed these days. She is a bit jittery and is spending almost sleepless nights (we are exaggerating a bit... but that’s okay). And why is she in such a state? Well, the actress is worried with the fact that the ratings of her show, Dekha Ek Khwaab, wherein she plays Jaynandini, have dropped drastically (1.2 TVR latest).

“Things began very well with the youth track of Manyata (Priyal Gor), Akash (Abhishek Rawat), Yuvraj Udayveer (Ashish Kapoor) and me. Vijay Bhai (Mark Farokh Parakh) was also bringing in a very good comic relief and the ratings touched even 2.4 TVR. But then the creative’s changed the track and made the show a family drama with Moniya now training to become a princess. Why will the audience tune in for family drama when they really liked my catfights with Moniya before?” asks Shritama.

She also feels that the serial, produced by Rose Audio Visual Pvt Ltd, also took a hit due its timeslot change (now it airs at 8.30pm instead of 8.45). “We lost our loyal audiences in the 9-9.30 pm bracket.”

However, the beautiful and gracious lady from Kota (Rajasthan) is hopeful that the big Linkupcoming twist in the Holi track will hike up the ratings. “It will involve Manyata, Akash and Komal (Anita Kulkarni) and will change the entire story (based on Princess Diaries) on its head,” she says without divulging more details.

Producer Shrishti Arya also messaged back cryptically in response to our sms regarding the track, “Manyata having to face the unthinkable will shock and stun the viewers.”

Well, we hope that the upcoming episodes will entertain the viewers of Dekha Ek Khwaab!!!
