Dance India Dance completes 100 glorious episodes

The baap of all dance reality shows, Dance India Dance on Zee TV, recently set a new Guinness World Record with the largest Bollywood dance ever performed. And now it has added another feather to its cap. Well, it has completed 100 successful episodes. Episode number of 100 (a special one) was shot yesterday (20 March 2012) and it will air on Sunday (25 March 2012).

Viewers will get to see DID contestants from season one and two shaking their legs in this special episode. Bhavna and Sanam will be seen performing a ballet while Prince- Raghav and Vaibhav- Kruti will throw in a brilliant free style number. Mohena, Punit and Salman will perform an amazing aerial act and Neerav-Kunwar Amar will do Bollyhop. And the fun will not end here… Rajasmitha, Dharmesh and Siddhesh will entertain viewers with their jhatkas and matkas on some hit Bollywood numbers and the trio of Shakti, Praddep and Sneha will perform an aerial act on a famous patriotic song.

Hmm…sounds great fun. Moving on, Mithun Chakraborty aka dada (as people lovingly call him) who is the grand master in the show, got a little emotional on the achievement and said, “I am very touched by the love and affection of people. These three masters, Geeta, Terence, Remo are the life of the show and they give their lives to make the show successful. The stardom that we have enjoyed because of DID is something we have never enjoyed in our life before.”

Choreographer Geeta shared, “The show has been successful due to the love of the fans. It has clicked with the masses as it lives by the spirit of dancing and everyone who is involved in the show really puts in a lot of effort to make it successful.”

The king of hip-hop master Remo echoed, “After DID, I feel hum rahe ya na rahe dance hamesha rahega…There are many shows that come and go but DID is something that has become a hit due to the love of its fans. Please keep supporting us so that we can complete 1000 episodes.”

Terence too struck an emotional note stating, “We never thought that we will come such a long way. I am proud that people liked our passion towards dancing. It’s not only our celebration but it’s everyone’s moment to rejoice.”

Furthermore, to commemorate the achievement, the entire cast and crew of Dance India Dance and the contestants of season one and two cut a cake.

We hope that DID completes many more episodes in the near future!!!
