Good news for fans of Colors as the channel has managed to jump back to the number three position on the TRP chart. Last week, ZEE TV (222 GRPs) surged ahead of Colors (201 GRPs) and after a long time, grabbed the number three position. But the tables have turned this week with Colors (211 GRPs) muscling ahead of Zee (207 GRPs).
But one interesting development that has unfolded this week is that the battle of TRPs has really intensified and it has become truly cut throat. Though the authorities at Colors might be happy with the fact that they have moved ahead of ZEE, but they should check the numbers and realise that they are ahead by only four points.
Furthermore, Sony is perched on number two but the channel has only one point (212 GRPs) more than Colors (211 GRPS). But Star Plus is still ruling the roost with 259 GRPs and is truly the king of numbers.
Here’s the list of top five shows, Diya Aur Baati Hum (Star Plus-5.4 TVRs), Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (Star Plus-4.1 TVRs), Saath Nibhana Saathiya (Star Plus-4.0 TVRs), Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon (Star Plus) and Balika Vadhu (Colors) both tied with 3.9 TVRs, and Uttaran (Colors-3.7 TVRs).
