Sooraj Thapar, currently seen in Star Plus’ Sasuraal Genda Phool as Ishaan’s father Alok and on Imagine TV's Chandragupta Maurya as Dhananand, has joined the cast of Chhal - Sheh Aur Maat. The show is produced by Bhairavi Raichura who also happens to be Sooraj’s co-star in Sasuraal Genda Phool playing Rajni’s character. Seems like Bhairavi’s impressed with Sooraj’s work having seen it for quite some time now and Sooraj has bagged himself another interesting role to play, albeit on a different channel.
According to a source, “Sooraj Thapar will be playing the role of Dushyant Singh who is a CID officer from New Delhi and will be investigating Neha’s case. He is obsessed with justice and is pretty chilled out; a bit crazy and a fun-loving person. So much that he doesn’t seem to possess a single serious bone! But don’t let his idiosyncrasies fool you! He has a high conviction rate… and once he gets it into his head that he will solve a crime he will not let anything get in his way, making him the biggest threat to Kabir in Dhaulganj.”
“Dushyant suspects Kabir and he senses that there is something fishy in Kabir's story about the return of his wife Aditi and he will get to the bottom of it. He has already won Neha’s confidence,” adds the source.
Sooraj’s entry will be aired tonight on Chhal-Sheh Aur Maat.
