Abhinav Shukla showed his love for adventure sports by participating and fairing wonderfully in Star Plus’ Survivor India (produced by MidiTech). He was amongst the top ten contestants and survived based on his mettle and not resorting to any sort of plotting or planning.

But Abhinav, who was popularly known as Dev of Geet Hui Sabse Parayi, is synonymous to the word “versatile”. He is not only an athlete and a great actor, but also a good photographer.

“I have been practicing photography for the last five years and the art comes naturally to me. I am a science student so I understand the technicalities of photography. I am not a trained photographer but I love it and click when I am in the mood. I started shooting when I used to travel across the country,” says Abhinav.

In the show, Survivor, Abhinav became good friends with other contestants, namely Munisha Khatwani and Timmy Narang. Recently, Abhinav bought a new camera, lights and other necessary equipments and co incidentally, Munisha too was looking to get a new photo shoot done.

So they decided to get together and Abhinav shot Munisha’s portfolio.

“I shot outdoor for the first time with flash-light and before starting I made my point very clear to Munisha that the photo shoot can happen either my or her way, but finally she decided to follow my instructions,” informs the smart looking actor.

So is he planning to take up photography permanently? “I will do it full-time when my hair turns grey,” laughs Abhinav.

Furthermore, Munisha says she also had a great experience getting shot by Abhinav. “He is a great photographer and a lovely friend. I saw some of his pictures and immediately asked him to click my portfolio. During the shoot, I also got to work with my favourite make-up artist Jaywant Thakre. I loved my look. The shoot took place around first week of March and I am looking forward to my pictures being circulated everywhere. He did a phenomenal work and he can give any professional photographer a run for his money.”
