AP Budget 2012-13 Highlights

Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy on Friday presented the state budget for 2012-2013 in Assembly.

According to the early estimates, the state expenditure during 2012-13 would be Rs.145,854 lakh crore. Out of them, around Rs.91,824 crore will be under non-plan and Rs 54,030 crore under plan expenditure.

Fiscal Deficit was estimated to be Rs.20,008 crore and Revenue Surplus would be Rs.4,444 crore.
The state government has promised to continue all the welfare schemes, which include Rs 1 a-kg rice to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) families, Rajiv Arogyasri, Free Power to farmers etc.,

Under Rajiv Vidya Mission program, the state government is planning to provide job opportunities for 15 lakh jobs by 2014.

Agriculture - Rs 3,175 crore

Irrigation - Rs 15,010 crore

Indira Jala Prada - Rs 1800 crore

Electricity - Rs 5,937 crore

Housing - Rs 2,302 crore

Interest-Free Loans to Farmers and Women's Self-Help Groups - Rs 1,075 crore

IT Sector - Rs 150 crores

Sports - Rs 220 crore

Transportation and R & B - Rs 5,302 crore

Home - Rs 4,832 crore

RTC - Rs 5,032 crore

CM Fund - Rs 600 crore

Education - Rs 15, 132 crore
