That about does it for our round-up of 2011's best and worst in filmy fashions; now it's your turn to weigh in on the looks that you loved as well as those you would love to never see again in 2012!

Anushka Sharma: Hit!
Looking like a goddess in this gorgeous green Dior gown, Anushka Sharma dazzled one and all at the GQ Men of the Year Awards. The classy pleated dress with its delicately embroidered bodice, the out of the ordinary apple hue, the gently curled hair, and the angelic, age-appropriate makeup all came together for an indescribably stunning effect. Though few others would have been able to pull off a dress in that color, she did it well enough to have earned herself what might have been the best look we saw from B-town this year, indeed a memorable moment in fashion history!

Ameesha Patel: Miss!
Unfortunately, Ms. Patel was no stranger to fashion blunders this year, sporting one awkward mini dress after another and worsening the look with garish lipstick. That's exactly what she did here, pairing a painfully short and ill-fitted shirtdress with a boxy old-school clutch, unkempt hair, and gaudy makeup better suited for a someone just learning how to apply it than a B-town celeb. This disastrous ensemble made elicited both a cringe and our curiosity, for it seems as if it once included pants and Amisha just forgot to put them on. However, it probably wouldn't have helped salvage her look this time around.

Abhay Deol: Hit!
This is merely a small sampler of the dapper Deol's several stylish appearances this year. Rocking a skinny tie with a black suit at the Hello! Hall of Fame Awards, he managed to incorporate his signature air spontaneity and nonchalance at each and every event he attended, making even the most trite and repetitive formals seem brand spankin' new each time. Here, he was well supported by his lady love Preeti Desai, who made quite an impression in a blush-toned satin gown with a delicately embellished bodice.

Sonali Bendre: Miss!
This addition to the list of blunders is a rather unlikely candidate; Sonali usually makes sophisticated style choices when she attends events around town. She didn't quite do that this time, sporting what appears to be a deconstructed set of hospital scrubs. The random orange piping only made it worse, as did the hippie sandals and the lack of effort with hair and makeup. This was indeed a difficult outfit to forget for the somewhat comical impression it left, but luckily such catastrophes were few and far between in this diva's wardrobe.

Katrina Kaif: Hit!
B-town's resident Barbie doll Katrina Kaif scored high marks for her style on more than one occasion this year. Be it her flowing anarkalis of the east or gorgeous western gowns, she showcased the best of both worlds with ease and sophistication. We particularly loved her look at the Star Superstar Awards hosted by Yashraj Studios earlier this year, where she donned a blush-toned Grecian gown that had us in awe and envy. The pale shade worked well against her complexion, the gown fit like a glove, and it had just the right amount of intricacy to grab this fashionista's attention without overwhelming her. The delicate drop earrings, natural hairstyle, and clean makeup were just right for the already glam gown, so altogether this balanced ensemble was a sureshot winner.

Madhuri Dixit: Miss!
Having loved this diva and admired her style for over two decades, we were shocked to see Madhuri Dixit show up like this at an event soon after her return to her home turf. During various events related to her stint on Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa just a few months earlier, she had already proved that she hadn't lost her magic by wearing only the finest of fashions, stealing fans hearts anew in everything from sarees to sundresses. That made this hideous lime green muumuu particularly jarring and confusing. Nothing about it is flattering, and save for her always enchanting smile, we regret to say that it seems there are some things even Madhuri can't pull off.

Dia Mirza: Hit!
Dia is no stranger to est dressed lists from B-town's red carpet events, and her production Love Breakups Zindagi gave her plenty of opportunities to showcase her style savvy sensibilities this past year. She won us over with simple and sleek choices like this floral print gown she sported at the IIFA Awards in Toronto. The classic empire waist and pattern, the touch of modernity added by the double straps on each side, the tidy tresses, and the fresh, dewy makeup all work together to create a memorable look. Many of her contemporaries could use pointers from Dia on how keeping it simple can result in successful style statements, because ladies and gentlemen, less truly is more!

Mallika Sherawat: Miss
Mallika Sherawat, on the other hand, frequents worst dressed lists for misinterpreting that golden less is more rule, thinking that it applies to fabric and looking like a dominatrix on many occasions. Though she redeemed herself at a handful of events in 2011, this catastrophe from Cannes was still an unforgivably poor choice. It appears that she's bound, rather than clothed, in a mess of shimmer, sheer, and straps that not only look crass, but also add bulk to her otherwise small frame. The saasu maa bouffant updo doesn't help. This certainly wasn't a great way to represent the Hindi film industry abroad, so we hope that the improvement we saw in Mallika's wardrobe at more recent events remains in tact throughout the new year.
