Mugdha Chapekar looking at some very strong female oriented roles

Mugdha Chapekar has moved on after the ending of NDTV Imagine's Dharam Veer and now plans to take up woman oriented roles on television..

Mugdha Chapekar who plays Shera in NDTV Imagine's Dharam Veer is finally back in Mumbai with the show ending. “I had settled in Sagar city ( Baroda) for the past two years.. So I am just chilling now, eating and enjoying a well deserved break”, says Mugdha. She refuses to comment on her fantasy costume drama ending. “I am just an actor, hence cannot say anything else except that, what happened was for the good”, states the actress.

Mugdha is quite happy to have played two completely different characters during her Baroda stay, as the first cute princess Sanyogita in Star Plus’ Prithviraj Chauhan, and now the dacoit with a golden heart in Dharam Veer.

She is now looking at some very strong female oriented characters. “I might even do a saas-bahu if the script is right. Although both my shows were male dominated, I did get a lot of screen space and stuff to do”, quips she. Mugdha also wants to try her hand at cinema. “But I want to be known as an actress rather than a star. I will never wear revealing clothes or do bold scenes”, conveys the actress.

Mugdha who has been acting since the age of five, also refuses to comment on the alleged rudeness of co-star Rajat Tokas on set. “All I will say is that we are good professionals who enjoy good on-screen chemistry”.

Ask her about the big age difference between Rajat and her, and this English Literature graduate gets defensive. “You are making me look too old; the difference in our ages might not be more than 4 years. And anyways when I play the character, I am totally into it and never see myself as Mugdha”, concludes the actress.
