And the organisers of the show are sure the awards will continue its winning streak as far as TRPs are concerned.
Graded by a panel of judges, headed by Prasoon Joshi, this awards function comes with a touch of innovations every year.
"We are always looking for some innovation. Of course there is entertainment but there is also some innovation hence it got the highest TRPs last year," said the Convener of ITA Awards, Shashi Ranjan.
"It was very hard to judge but the organisers made sure they choose a good panel of jury," said chairman of the Jury of ITA Awards, Prasoon Joshi.
And on the tiff between entertainment channels and producers, Prasoon Joshi said, "They should come to an amicable solution and both parties are to be heard before giving any judgment."
"I feel their problem lies in the broadcaster paying huge sums of money to film celebs for hosting TV shows which have failed to gain them TRPs , in usual situation this sum would go to the producers and workers as it comes from the same kitty," said the president of ITA awards, Anu Ranjan.
In December, ITA brings along a special category to honour the most glamorous face of the year on the small screen.

The IDEA-ITA Awards, 2008 which has become a benchmark for excellence in television is back. This year, the Awards have received upwards of 3,000 entries in various categories from the production houses – which is well and truly historic. All the top-4 nominees for the IDEA Glamour Face of the Year (Male/Female) categories, will be taken to various cities, whereby they will have a direct one-to-one with the viewers so that they can canvass for themselves in person. This year, a rare effort is being created to provide a bridge between the nominees and the viewers. The ITA is all the time in pursuit of such bridges, be it amongst the disparate sectors of the TV industry or with the viewers. Last but not the least, the Nominees for IDEA ITA Champion Male include Jay Bhanushali, Raja Hassan, Indraneil Sengupta, Chaitanya Chowdhury.
Nominees for IDEA ITA Champion Female include Jasvir Kaur, Barkha Bisht, Shayantini Ghosh, Purbi Joshi.

Jay Bhanushali, the chocolate-boy of television has been nominated for the IDEA ITA Champion Male along with Raja Hassan, Indraneil Sengupta and Chaitanya Chowdhury.
A very surprised and elated Jay said, “I was shocked when I got to know that I can be nominated in the Popular Category. It feels nice to see that people still love me and tolerate me”.The nominations have been got by Popular poll on mobile, internet as well as postal vote. When asked whether he looks forward to interact with his fans in 5 big cities of India, Jay quips, “I am looking forward to meet my fans, for sure. But I will not ask anyone to vote for me. If people think I am popular, then they will vote for me”.
Remind him about his stint in reality shows when he did ask for votes, and Jay at once states, “In reality shows, I used to ask for votes to stay in the race for one more episode, so that I could get noticed more. But here, I don’t think that can happen”.
Jay who has not been part of a daily soap since the time he left Kayamath says, “I want to do something now, as I fear people will forget me (laughs). I am getting lots of offers, but I am being very choosy at the moment”.
Ask him about his dream role and pat comes his reply, “I want to play a college boy who is very naughty, with room for comedy in my role”.
