Ekta Kapoor offer Sanju baba Rs 500 cr deal

Famous for her controlling antics and business niches, Ekta Kapoor has often rubbed plenty the wrong way. And the latest one to join the telly queen’s kitty of foes is the B-town biggie Sanjay Dutt. The two industry big-wigs have reportedly fallen apart and have called off their Rs 500 crore deal.

The two industry scions, who reportedly signed a Rs 500 crore deal in July, have now turned into bitter rivals. And neither of the parties are in a mood to keep the rivalry under wraps.

According to the deal Balaji Motion Pictures and Sanjay Dutt Productions signed a nine-film project that was to be released over a period of three-years. The contract even stated that Sanjay would play the lead role in all these films and was reportedly paid a sum of 5-crore in cheque as a signing amount.

The actor has now returned the signing amount and the industry is abuzz with reports that caused the split. According to our sources, the two parted ways due to differences in their style of working and lack of publicity for the Balaji films.

A news daily even quoted a source as saying, "Though Balaji sold ‘EMI’ to Sahara, they suffered losses too. Ekta is disgruntled about the way ‘EMI’ was promoted. The lack of commitment and interest by some stars has upset her a lot. At the last ‘EMI’ press conference held a couple of days before the release only Ekta and her dad were present neither Sunil Shetty (co-producer) nor Dutt showed up. Balaji wants accountability in all its operations and only wants to work with people who understand this."

Looks like Sanju is not up to Ekta’s professional standards.
