Anoup Soni to play M.F. Hussain in Nagesh Kukunoor’s film

During the strike period most actors took this timeout to either go on holidays or simply relax at home. Actor Anoup Soni made the best use of this break by shooting for a play and Nagesh Kukunoor’s film.

Throwing light on his important play, Anoup says, “Nadira Babbar is directing this play. We’re performing across various cities. We’ll be travelling to places like Chandigarh and Delhi. The play is based on the life of noted painter MF Hussain, which is played by me. It’s titled ‘Pencil se brush tak’. We aren’t going to show any controversies. The plot revolves around the younger days of Mr.Hussain. In the end, it’s Tom Alter who plays the aged Hussain.”

Anoup didn’t reveal much about his film but all he said was this, “I can’t reveal the name. There are only about seven actors in it. It’s a story about five women. Sameera Reddy, Tanvi Azmi and Tanuja are part of it. I play a negative character. I’m the one who creates trouble between all these women.”
