Bigg Boss host attacked by RPI supporters

.

SHILPA SHETTY, the host of the second season of ’Bigg Boss’ on Colors channel was attacked by the Republican Party of India (RPI) leader, Ramdas Athavale and his followers in Lonavala near Mumbai.

The incident took place while Shilpa was returning back to her residence in Lonavala, Mumbai, after recording her interview with television tycoon Ekta Kapoor and her brother Tusshar Kapoor on Friday last (August 29). While she was on her way, her path was blocked by Athavale and his party men. At first, they staged a protest against the Bollywood actor and then started pelting stones at her car. The windscreen of her car was completely shattered.

The reason behind such an attack dated back to last week, when Athavale approached the ’Bigg Boss’ house, but was prohibited from entering the spot by Shilpa’s manoeuvres. Later, the depressed Bollywood actor expressed in front of the media that she had nothing to do regarding the nomination of the participants for the programme. She also mentioned that the participants had to remain locked for three months inside a house, while all their movements were recorded.

She expressed her deep grief over such an unwanted attack upon her and remarked that police as well as administration did nothing, while the same group ransacked the respective channel’s Mumbai office and blocked the road outside soon after the show went on air.
