Ekta Kapoor does a 'K' again, changes name of her 'Mahabharata' Soap opera queen Ekta Kapoor has changed the title of her much talked about 'Mahabharata' to 'Kahani Hamare Mahabharat Ki' as the former was registered with B.R. Chopra Productions - this also gave her an opportunity to insert her lucky 'K' in the title. 'I never thought of associating 'K' with 'Mahabharata' but then as the original title was registered with B.R. Chopra Productions, I was compelled to change the title, The original title 'Mahabharat' was not suitable for Ekta. It adds up to eight, which is generally not lucky.'That is why B.R. Chopra also changed the title of his version of the show to 'Mahabharata' (with an extra 'a' in the end). That added up to nine which was lucky for the Chopras but not for Ekta. .
